Mac Contacts App Adds Duplicates

In Dynamics 365 for Outlook, the Tracked in Dynamics 365 apps icon is displayed next to any tracked contacts. To add additional information about the contact to the Contact form in Dynamics 365 for Customer Engagement, choose the contact, and then in the Customer Engagement group, choose View in Customer Engagement. Oct 07, 2018  Thank you for geting back to me. If you want to sync contacts in your Mac/iOS, as a workaround, you need to upload your contacts into iCloud and add your iCloud account to Outlook client, and then Outlook will sync the contacts from your iCloud account. For your reference: Add an email account to Outlook. Please feel free to let me know if you.

Contacts User Guide

Mac Duplicate Files

When you import contacts, Contacts displays a message if it finds duplicates of existing contact cards. You can review the duplicates and decide how to handle them.

  1. In the Contacts app on your Mac, when you see the message that duplicate cards have been found, choose what to do:

    • Accept duplicates without reviewing: Click Import.

    • Review duplicates and resolve discrepancies: Click Review Duplicate(s) and continue to the next step.

  2. Review the first duplicate by clicking the buttons above the card, then click the button with the option you want.

    • Keep Old: Keep the old card, and discard the new one (the one you’re importing).

    • Keep New: Keep the new card, and discard the old one.

    • Keep Both: Keep both cards.

    • Update: Create an updated card that merges information from both cards.

  3. If that was the only duplicate, click Import. If there are more duplicates, do one of the following:

    • Resolve all duplicates the same way: Select Apply to All, then click Import.

    • Review each duplicate: Click Next. When you’re done reviewing duplicates, click Import.

update: this worked for me, following the advice of 'Allan' toward the bottom: https://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/276629/missing-icloud-contacts-on-one- device

Quoting:

Your MacBook Pro must have a corrupted Contacts database.

Signing out and back in to iCloud isn’t fixing anything because your MacBook Pro is reusing its local database, and thinking that everything is up to date. Updating a contact is what “rebuilds” its entry, allowing it to be displayed.

Your contacts should all download fresh from iCloud.

(Note: Steps 2 & 3 are really the crucial ones, but the Contacts.app doesn’t have much in the way of preferences, so might as well be thorough.)
